learning to see and savor the glory of Christ.

Hello! My name is Jonathan Yang, going to be fifth year Structural Engineering student at UCSD! However, my interest is not in calculating stresses and strains, but in living in gratitude, love, and obedience to God. As someone who refused to worship Him, and would rather have lived for myself, I am surprised daily that He’d take my stony heart, break down my opposition to Him, and bring me to surrender fully to His authority, showing me my desperate need for a savior and bringing me to trust in the cross of Christ as my only righteousness before an infinitely holy and perfect God.

No longer a slave to sin, and no longer condemned by my sin against Him, He’s freed me to understand His greatness and glory not only in mental affirmation, but with absolute satisfaction in my Maker. I hope to learn to see and savor the glory of the crucified, risen, and exalted Christ more and more until I see Him face to face in heaven.
